When i dont remember you.

Was it ever really a kids show? But yeah, as a non-fan (normally, though Marcy's trying her hardest to win me other and has been succeeding!), the more of the backstory I learn about, the more I think the show needs the very psychotic, nonsensical humor that normally drives me off. Because without all the levity, it would be the most miserable (no....that's not the right word...TRAGIC! There we go!) show on TV.

"Hey, how about a show about a human teen who's the last survivor of a nuclear Armageddon that's somehow created fantastical creatures with superhuman abilities and humanoid things made out of sentient candy! Ruled over by a beautiful, scientist Princess who may have a really dark side involving the torture of prisoners and genetic manipulation experiments, who our hero is sorta the knight-like champion for.

And let's add to it a teen (kinda) vampire who plays bass and sings for a punk/metal band, who used to be the Princess' bff until they had a falling out that we'll keep a mystery the reasons of. And she has a lot of daddy issues, as daddy happens to be a somewhat inane and incompetent version of Satan who wants her to follow in his footsteps despite her just wanting to be as normal as she can be and not become the monster she has the potential of being, who abandoned her during the war and made her feel unwanted, before being taken in by another survivor who helped keep her alive with his magical talisman...that slowly drove him insane and turned him into the show's #1 big bad!"

Holy crap, throw in a rape and a revenge murder and we have ourselves a postmodern version of a Jacobean tragedy!
